About

Hi, I'm Katie.

Mom of two, educator, lactation professional, and Certified Sleep Consultant.

I know what it's like when your child's sleep starts taking up way too much space in your brain—when you're counting hours, comparing schedules, and wondering whether you're doing something wrong.

My own experiences with sleep as a mom are a big part of why Hay Sleep exists. With my first, I struggled deeply with sleep. With my second, I approached it with an entirely different perspective—and everything about that season felt different.

That contrast taught me something I bring into every consultation: the goal isn't to force a baby into a schedule. It's to understand the baby—or toddler—in front of you, and to give parents information they can actually use.

Professionally, I come to this work as an educator first. I spent years learning how to meet people where they are, break complex things into clear steps, and support families through change. Today I combine that with my background in lactation and pediatric sleep.

I'm not here to hand you a rigid schedule or tell you there's only one way your baby should sleep. I'm here to help you find an approach that feels both effective and right for your family.

Feeding and sleep don't exist in separate bubbles, so my two practices work together. If feeding is what's weighing on you most right now, that's where we should start.

Whether you have one nap that's driving you absolutely nuts or sleep has completely taken over your household, we'll start with what's happening right now — and figure out what makes sense from there.
